I AM AN ARIZONA WILDCAT!

It's been awhile since I last posted, but so very much has happened and I've been busy with chasing my dreams through hard work, tenacity and faith. Through the grace of God, faith, the fantastic coaching and encouragement of the Arizona football coaching staff, and the never-ending support of family and friends, I am now an Arizona Wildcat!

I have worked tirelessly toward this goal for a very long time. Stepping on to that field on Friday night, was crazy. The crowd noise was incredible! The fireworks shocked me, as we ran into the most amazing venue I've ever seen, felt or could have imagined. The moment was simply surreal...Division I football at its best. Our new stadium had a crowd of nearly 54,000 screaming fans and I'll bet we do well over 60,000 in the weeks to come. This level of excitement is too hard to even try to put into words.

I am living the dream and I will never forget what it took to get me here and I am going to work even harder now to prove I deserve to be here and to become what He has planned for me...

My name is Tyler Broc Grammar and I am a Safety on the roster (#34) of THE University of Arizona Wildcats

Come support the Arizona Wildcats and our football program; we are going places...in fact, I see a very "rosy" picture for our program. I am far from finished in my journey; truthfully, I've just begun to fight. I'm looking forward to the hard work ahead, and becoming an impact player for Arizona, my football family, as I grow and mature in my experience.

************************UPDATE***************************

I performed yesterday, March 4th, 2013 on the hallowed grass of the U of A practice field. It felt good to see some of my compadres out there, already in helmets and jerseys and I really pray that I get the opportunity to do the same. I feel so very blessed and so very thankful to have been afforded this opportunity. I am in no way downplaying my hard work and tenacity to get here, I am just very thankful and happy.

I want to thank the entire Coaching Staff at the University of Arizona for their time in allowing all walk-on prospects to have the opportunity to perform yesterday, in providing young men who for whatever reason, weren't offered scholarship opportunities before. I hope that some of our Coaches might have the ability or desire to check out this site, to get a better picture of who I am and why I believe that I can be a major contributor to a winning program here at THE University of Arizona, as a Wildcat Football Team Player.

I felt like my 40 time seemed to be slower than usual (I've clocked 4.4's consistently in camps and combines), but I put forth a good solid effort and performance and I'll take whatever they clock me at...I know I am fast and I will only get faster as I continue to tune up.

I felt like my footwork and "hipwork" looked good, and my agility drills I felt comfortable with too. While I know I've had slightly better performances, everyone does, it was certainly not due to a lack of focus or 110% effort. You are always going to get 110% from me, everyday...

All of that said, I did perform well overall, in my opinion. I felt solid in my 1 on 1 coverage opportunities (even had one interception and just missed a second by being over-aggressive), especially for a Safety that was pulled from most coverages in his Sr. year, based upon my Coach saying that "they simply won't throw to your side in coverage, regardless where we put you, so we will make them pay in other ways, Tyler."...I had nearly 20 sacks that year (see my film below) defensively and did fairly well running the ball as well.

So, now I sit on pins and needles, praying that what I did show yesterday, was enough for them to allow me to put a helmet and jersey on and show what I can do consistently, as I tune up. I am excited and nervous...

Bear Down!

Just in case any Coaches are looking at this, here's my film again:
